Last week on The Large Morning Show in The Afternoon, I reviewed the new Bill Murray film, “On the Rocks.”
Sofia Coppola’s easy to please drama-comedy hybrid was 90 minutes and offered a wise take on the cast iron relationship between fathers and daughters, even when the latter reaches her late 30’s. A tale as real as life, but allowed all the cinematic touches a film like this would have.
Highly recommended, but that was only a small part of the hour. Other parts were dedicated to random conversations involving stuttering, real karate, random Netflix show recs, and a little discussion about “The Boys,” which just wrapped its second season.
Frank may know a few kung fu moves himself, which led to an extended chat about “Cobra Kai” and its realistic stunts. Something I didn’t know about Frank last week now only adds to the growing legend. If Clint Eastwood doesn’t write, direct, produce, co-star, write and perform the music for a Frank biopic, what’s the world coming to? It needs to happen.
In other words, here’s what we discussed last week on 590 The Fan.
