Every week on The Large Morning Show in the Afternoon, there’s a fine assortment of entertainment recommendations.
Right off the bat, Frank O. Pinion hits me with his opinions on recent movies and television shows, and then we exchange our takes there. Before we can get the next thing going, a caller dials in and provides about six different recommendations. Notepads out, hands busy. Dan Strauss has something, Tim Woodburn has another, and Trevor LIMEY Phillips chimes in as well. Before long, it starts to sound like a song being performed by a band.
This week, Frank is cruising on through “Sons of Anarchy” and I can only wonder what awaits him ahead. Seen I’ve seen the entire series, let’s me just say that I have weary eyes for Frank’s road ahead.
I give everybody one show to skip in the new Netflix comedy series, Brews Brothers. Unfunny and overworked, these eight episodes prove to be a waste due to the lack of a single interesting character. Just don’t do it.
Investing a couple hours in Tom Cruise’s “War of the Worlds” sure is a good idea, as caller discussion brings that older title to the table. By the end, we were just laughing at each other, the sign of a good time.
