The Frank O. Pinion Radio Movie Dose: ‘Knives Out’ is fun for the whole family

With the holiday season bringing in a mad rush of movies, finding a couple to talk about on The Large Morning Show in the Afternoon is not always the easiest task.

I try to decipher a couple of precursors before I go on, such as throwing out foreign language films because Frank hates subtitles and any comic book film. If it contains a plot that will akin to worded brain surgery, I move on.

Sometimes, there is a good film with an easy plot spin that I take on. This week, it was Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out,” with Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, and Christopher Plummer.

The film revolves around a rich patriarch of a devious family who suddenly dies one evening after his birthday party. When the police bring in a world-renowned investigator to help solve the case, the whole family becomes suspects.

There was more conversation as well, including a long chat about people being easily offended by Christmas music and pretty much anything with words or a pulse.

Listen in right here.
