The Frank O. Pinion Radio Dose: ‘Stuber’ is an engaging comedy thanks to Bautista and Nanjiani

With Frank and company back in the studio, I reviewed the new rideshare buddy comedy, “Stuber.” Starring Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani, the film dove into the action-adventure-fueled day of an Uber driver who is forced to driver around a cop in pursuit of a drug dealer.

The formula may have seemed old, but the comedy and throwback style of the action was a fitting summer escape. Bautista and Nanjiani are a good team and lift up familiar material.

I also dug into the latest in television and movie news, and Frank chimed in on what he’s been watching and liking lately.

For the second time in a month, “John Wick” broke into the conversation. A film that Frank initially didn’t like is now growing on him.

Here’s the segment.
