In a rare treat, I review a new film opening this week as well as bring back audio clips from a roundtable interview I got to participate in this past weekend.

In my first trip to New York, I covered the “Shaft” press junket for Warner Brothers, getting to exchange questions with the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Regina Hall, Jessie T. Usher, Alexandra Shipp, and Richard Roundtree. Director Tim Story also participated.

While the audio wasn’t the easiest to transfer from live video shot, the Jedi-like board operator, Trevor “Limey” Phillips, was able to make it sound reasonably loud enough for people under the age of 70 to hear, and four clips were played.
