There are some movies that just take a piece out of you.
That doesn’t classify them as depressing or looking for remorse with a glow stick in their hand, but more like a search for pure human truth. That’s what I got from Noah Baumbach’s latest film, the Netflix Original “Marriage Story.”
Last week on The Large Morning Show in the Afternoon with Frank O. Pinion, I reviewed Baumbach film and actually got Frank interested. This isn’t the easiest of tasks. Sometimes, I have to entice him with a certain hook revolving around the material.
Now, anything with Scarlett Johansson will do that to any heterosexual male, but this one features an Oscar-worthy Scar Jo, as well as Adam Driver in his best role yet, Laura Dern, Alan Alda, and Ray Liotta.
We discussed that as well as old shows and movies brought up by listeners, which led the group down familiar paths of old jokes, impersonations, and plenty of chirping. A caller impersonating Tim Woodburn was absolutely hilarious.
Don’t take my word for it. Here’s the audio for the full segment of the latest entertainment hour on The Large Morning Show in the Afternoon with Frank O. Pinion on 590 The Fan KFNS.
