How many movie reviews can you stuff into an hour of radio?
This week on The Large Morning Show in the Afternoon segment, the gents and myself ran the gauntlet of movie takes, taking our shots at films on the big and small screen.
Once again, though, the wonderfully underrated television series “Banshee” was mentioned, as Tim is making his way through the second season.
The dynamic HBO show, “Succession,” was also reviewed and recommended, as it reached its Season 2 finale on Sunday.
The new “Breaking Bad” movie, “El Camino,” was reviewed by Frank, Tim, and myself. Each offered glowing, if slightly different, takes on Vince Gilligan’s long-awaited follow-up to the AMC smash hit TV series.
I advised movie fans to stay away from new offerings such as “Lucy in the Sky” and “Gemini Man,” two sad excuses for a night out. Each one look flashy and cute from the outside, but rang hollow once approached and experienced.
Sometimes, it’s best to stay home instead of going out to the theater. That was the advice given this week.
