This week on The Large Morning Show in the Afternoon, I discussed the latest movies and television shows available and upcoming.
First, Frank went around the room in asking Dan, Tim, Trevor, and myself what their latest TV crush was. Frank had stumbled onto a Muhammad Ali documentary while Tim got into Black Mirror.
Afterwards, I reviewed the new Laika animated film, Missing Link, starring Hugh Jackman, Zach Gafianakis, and Zoe Saldana. The fun flick was good for the adults and kids, and no matter its box office gross, is worth checking out. One less beer for dad and glass of wine for mom required.
On the TV show front, I teased Netflix’s Black Summer, a new zombie series that breaks up the stories of its characters into separate parts and point of views. Unconventional and wholly shocking, the series works.
Next week, I will review new films such as High Life, Breakthrough, and Amazing Grace.
Here is the full segment from yesterday’s show.
